In Batman: Year One (Earth 31), Selina Kyle is African-American, but not in the rest of the Earth 31 adventures. What gives?

She was in Year One, and was EXPLICITLY stated so in Frank Miller's script for the Year One film script.
You couldn't find any other image or just wanted to give that "Exposed" one🤣?

Batman:Year One is his New Earth origin. Maybe I missed something (I'm more of a comic purist) but where does it say that Batman: Year One (2011) is in Earth-31? Miller's script was tossed; as should everything else he wrote after 9/11 so it's not his scriptwriting anyway.
As for Catwoman's race, that ship sailed 50 years ago. (And I wish I'd had a ticket!). You might as well have said that the Joker can't be a moustachioed Latino. Check out Batman: "The Joke's on Catwoman" starring Selina Kyle from Earth-A Kitt.

Year One is both New Earth and Earth-31/Earth-DKR. I'd like to see sources for "was EXPLICITLY stated so in Frank Miller's script for the Year One film script." and a letter from an optometrist for "She was in Year One". Because if she was supposed to be black, nobody told Richmond Lewis.
I've seen people say she's black because they misinterpreted the shadow on Darwyn Cooke's Vol 3 1 cover... she is half-Irish half-either Cuban or Italian.
They do that everyone but the trinity (actually them, not alternates like Calvin) across most of the minority races in America, but only to, or to what appears to be, white characters. It makes for mixed results, but sometimes we get a YJ Halo out of it and it’s awesome. Other times… well I think we all know the cases I’m talking about. With the world becoming more progressive you’re gonna have to deal with it. I just wish it didn’t get in the way of accurate hair color 🙄, a peeve I may never get over 😑.

Honestly Marvel has hit the "race-swap" train a lot harder. DC has mostly just introduced new minority characters as legacy characters like Green Lantern (Jessica Cruz/Simon Baz), or Jaime Reyes (Blue Beetle).
What do you think?
