Xiaomi's SU7 Ultra is set to receive a significant update in China, featuring a massive rear wing that promises to challenge the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT's lap record on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. This development comes as the electric sports car aims to boost Xiaomi's brand reputation and sales performance, with a recent dip in sales figures. The update includes a wider rear wing for increased downforce, similar to the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and carbon fiber side-view mirrors, LiDAR sensors, and large yellow brake calipers. The SU7 Ultra's performance specifications include a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.1 seconds and a range of 630 km under CLTC conditions, powered by a 93.7 kWh battery pack and three electric motors generating up to 1,138 kW (1,526 hp). However, the SU7 Ultra faces competition from the Denza Z performance coupe, which boasts an even more powerful 1,180 kW (1,582 hp) and a maximum speed of 350 km/h, while being 140 kg lighter, potentially giving it an edge in cornering speeds.
