Clog boots are part of what gets me excited for this time of year…especially cozy, lined clog boots! I have a secret wish to live in Sweden someday, and I guess putting on these boots makes me feel a tiny bit closer to that goal. Just give me everything Hygge and I’ll thrive. These boots are a step in that right direction.

Swedish Hasbeens or No.6: Which Clog Boots Are Best?
I did a post like this one last year, talking about my clog boot search. I landed on these lined Swedish Hasbeen boots** with the lug sole. I wore them all last winter and I adore them. Then, No. 6 came out with a similar style in taupe (gorg! similar pair in more sizes here, too). So, naturally, I had to compare THOSE to the Hasbeens I love.

What I Love About Swedish Hasbeens Sherpa-lined Clog Boots**
- the soft upper that doesn’t rub against your ankles
- the lug sole for non-slip in water or on snow
- the super-soft sherpa lining inside the boot upper
- the wider fit in the foot
- comfy right out of the box
- sustainable company practices

How Do The No. 6 Sherpa Lined Boots Compare To Swedish Hasbeens?
- I prefer the taupe color of No.6 to the orangey-tan of the Hasbeens
- the sherpa lining goes throughout the boot, making it extra cozy
- has the same soft suede upper as the Hasbeens, making it comfy around ankles
- the lug sole for non-slip tread
- CON: runs really small

The cons to the No. 6 boots are similar to what I discovered last year…they’re too tight around the toe-box. Being blessed with hereditarily bad feet as I am, the toe-box with the sherpa lining on the No. 6 boots is just too tight. Surprisingly, with socks, they were a little more comfy on my foot.
In general, I find the structure of clog boots to be so strong that they take a while to successfully break-in. Unlike softer boots that I would expect to break-in with a few wears, you really have to live in your clog boots to break them in. My foot started to get tingly after just 10 minutes of wear with these, and while I’m willing to be a little uncomfortable in the name of fashion, that’s just asking too much. Haha. (Sadly, I cannot find a size 40 left in stock. My true US size is an 8, if that helps with sizing. I usually wear a 39 in most Euro sizing and that’s what I’m wearing here.)
But maybe…This lace-up No. 6 pair is decidedly different from the pull-on styles I’ve tried. They are oh-so-gorgeous and mostly in stock. Considering trying them out to wear under my current favorite straight and wide-leg jeans!
More Clog Boot Options
Everyone always has strong opinions about their clog boot preferences, and our readers always seem to get the conversation going, whether it be on our Instagram or Facebook Insiders group, so I’ve included some of those recommended brands below. I’ve tried the Dankso and Frye clog boots, and they’re both great, just not as special or beautiful as the two brands above. Most of these boots below are also unlined, but when it comes to more reasonably priced options, they are solid choices. I recently tried the Free People clog boots (also unlined), and they are super-comfy right out of the box! They come in some lovely browns & tans, as well.
Dansko clog boot: These Dansko lined boots are probably the most similar to the pairs I tried on above, but under $200! The lining isn’t as thick and cozy, but they are a really solid choice, as I said above. I believe they run more TTS than the No. 6, too.
Sanita clog boot: Love their moto style, like these. They also offer a lined boot in black. This Juna with a taller shaft might be my favorite though! (Size down in this style, reviews say.) Sanita has been around forever, and they have some serious fans. They are a great choice! I haven’t tried them in a few years, but these have a flex sole in front, if you don’t prefer a full wooden sole.
Sandgrens clog boot: They offer an unlined version in a darker taupe. This would be a great versatile color.
Free People clog boot: These are new this year, I believe, but a solid find! Cushioned sole and comfy right out of the box.
Madewell clog boot: These Madewell clogs are new this year, too, and so cute! They’re in a dark brown animal print that is gorg.
Frye clog boot: Having trouble finding the Frye Odessa in stock right now, but they are a good budget-friendly and lower-rise shaft option. Love the dark taupe, too.
