  1. July is National Park and Recreation Month, and Milton is focusing on how things used to be with some of the city's parks. The greenspace off Lackey, which you can help name by submitting your idea by July 24, was purchased in 2018 from the Wolff family. Dr. Bernard Wolff Sr. purchased the land in 1947 from two feuding moonshiners. One needed money to get out of jail for moonshine sales. Since then, the family installed trails, created a lake, and added a house. (City of Milton, Georgia - Government via Facebook)
  2. Did you know that you can find statistics on police activities in Milton online? Using this link https://www.miltonga.gov/.../police-quarterly-statistics., you can learn what's happening in the community, as well as compare statistics to the same time period last year. The department is making this information public to remain transparent to citizens. (City of Milton)
  3. Kudos to Alpharetta's Aquatic Department; it received the American Red Cross Training Service Recognition Award for 2022! The award is based on being committed to safety, continued growth and improvement, maintaining records of lifeguards' safety drills, incident report documentation, facilities improvement and other important attributes. Congratulations to the staff at Wills Park! (City of Alpharetta Recreation, Parks, Cultural Services via Facebook)
