Everything Everywhere All At Once (Released May 1)

Tubi is coming in clutch with this one-of-a-kind Academy Award-winning independent absurdist comedy-drama film hitting the platform in early May. Everything Everywhere All At Once follows middle-aged Chinese immigrant Evelyn Quan Wang (Michelle Yeoh) who leads a slightly unhappy life running a struggling laundromat alongside her devoted husband, Waymond (Ke Huy Quan), while maintaining a strained relationship with her daughter, Joy (Stephanie Hsu). But when Evelyn is suddenly gifted with powers and forced to save the world from completely unraveling, her wild, action-packed, and moving journey across the multiverse leads her to gain a fresh appreciation for her own reality’s life and loved ones.

Frances Ha (Released May 1)

Celebrate girlhood, friendship, and self-discovery with this underrated 2012 comedy drama directed by Noah Baumbach and co-written by Baumbach and Greta Gerwig. Frances Ha revolves around 27-year-old dance apprentice Frances Halladay (Gerwig) as her happy and consistent life in New York City is suddenly upended after her college best friend and roommate, Sophie (Mickey Sumner), breaks the news that she’s moving out to a new part of the city and living with a different friend. In the aftermath, Frances tries to find a place to call home while still chasing her dance dreams and learning tough lessons on the path to growing older and chasing her dreams.
