Ferguson Youth Initiative FYI on LinkedIn: #supportouryouth (2024)

Last week on #ThrowbackThursday we shared a collage from 2017 when we partnered SSM Health to offer Job Readiness programming to teens 15-19. One of the former participants commented "best opportunity ever". These are the types of results that make each day rewarding.We are always looking to partner with area employers and organizations to empower teens in Ferguson and the surrounding communities. Please join us in congratulating our Executive Director Aaron Harris he was recognized at Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education meeting for being community impact leader within the district. As a community impact leader he has assisted the district's Big Picture School Innovation High School at Cool Valley with getting paid internships for their school. He also worked with Mccluer High School to provide a Job Readiness Program.

On Tuesday (1/23) we had the second session of our Next Steps Job Readiness Program with the AVID students at McCluer High School. During, the second session practiced their elevator pitch, completed resumes and discuss the different dress codes. Thank you to Ferguson Florissant School District for partnering, Thank you Mr. French for allowing us to be a part of your classroom and Thank the youth for participating.#SupportOurYouth
