First up, we have Jakub Malek, who backstopped the Utica Comets to a resounding 3-0 shutout victory against the Syracuse Crunch. Malek was a brick wall, turning away 15 shots to secure his first career AHL shutout. Talk about making a statement! The Comets' defense was rock solid, and the offense chipped in with goals from Angus Crookshank, Brian Halonen, and Xavier Parent.
